History Of The Baby Wagon

Since humans had kids, they have been looking for a convenient and comfortable way to carry them around. This is why the history of stroller development is so long and colorful.

  • Baby strollers first appeared in the 18th century, from a gardener who designed a wagon with wheels, a basket-shaped cart, often made of iron or wood, with the baby sitting inside the basket and a goat pulling the cart, similar to a carriage.

  • By 1848, an American added a handle to the wagon that could be pushed by human power, making it a true baby wagon.

  • In 1889 a man named William H. Richardson increased the function of the baby wagon by designing a special connector on the seat of the wagon, so that the seat could realize the function of reversing, which increased the communication between the parents and the baby, and he also improved the wheel part of the baby wagon.

  • In 1920, the baby wagon basically became a necessity for the family, and at this time the baby wagon mainly uses plastic or rubber instead of wood, the manufacturing cost is reduced, the wheels become bigger, set up the foot brake, and the height of the seat part is reduced, the depth is increased, and the safety performance is improved almost step by step.

  • The baby wagon, which is now commonly used in the market, appeared in 1965, an aviation mechanic, using his extensive knowledge of aeronautics, built the first lightweight wagon, this wagon uses aluminum as the frame and can be folded. In recent years, as technology continues to evolve and mature, the features of baby wagons have been enhanced.

There are some folding carts on the market that can be used as child wagons, but our company's folding carts cannot currently be used as baby strollers. The stability of the folding cart and the support of the seat are not sufficient for the safety of the child, and we specifically mention this in the instruction manual.
