The Computer Department Head held a training session for the technicians and mold workers of the Plastic Department on the MES Reverse Control System on June 6, 2023. The training aimed to improve the production management and quality control of the plastic products by using the MES system.
The MES system is a manufacturing execution system that manages and monitors the production information in the workshop, and presents the production progress in reports or screens. It also manages the production process reporting, production time and tracking status of the ERP system in reverse. The MES system can collect real-time data from the raw materials to the finished products, record the materials, equipment, data and results of product testing, and the time, personnel and other information of each production process. By analyzing the data, the MES system can show the production progress, target achievement, product quality, and the utilization of people, machines and materials in real time, making the production site transparent.
The training covered the main functions and benefits of the MES system, such as:
Tracking the quantity of work-in-progress products and defective products, reducing the cost of work-in-progress products;
Using barcodes to track product serial numbers, improving after-sales service level;
Responding to product quality problems in time, tracing quality history, improving product governance;
Fully grasping the usage status of tools and equipment, making manufacturing resources operate efficiently;
Providing real-time, accurate and reliable production data for management decision-making through powerful statistical reports, enhancing the core competitiveness of the company.
The training also demonstrated how to use the MES system to perform tasks such as production scheduling, product tracking, quality control, equipment failure analysis, network reporting, etc. The trainees learned how to operate the MES system through interactive quizzes.
The training was well received by the trainees, who said that they gained a lot of knowledge and skills from it. They expressed their confidence in using the MES system to improve their work efficiency and product quality. The Computer Department Head said that he was pleased with the training outcome and hoped that the trainees would apply what they learned to their daily work. He also said that he would provide follow-up support and guidance for any questions or problems encountered by the trainees.
